My Report Card

READING:
S-Reading material includes fiction/ non-fiction/ (not just chick-lit)
E-Prowls the internet for thought provoking articles.
E-Reads all circulars brought home from school

WRITING:
S- Writes to keep in touch:
(Christmas cards, email, thank you notes)
E- Blogs or joins internet forums
E- Writes notes, signs forms and permission slips as required by child’s school.
S- Hounds children about writing thank you notes.

MATHEMATICS:
E- Contributes to the household income either by working outside the home or by staying home thus saving on childcare, clothing budget, restaurant bills, cleaning service, smart shopping, etc.
E- Uses words, pictures, or numbers to record and communicate mathematical reasoning when it comes to conserving family resources.
S- Spends money on everyone but herself.
S- Solves problems using a variety of strategies.
S- Tells time to the half hour and orders a sequence of events with respect to time ( is never late)

SCIENCE:
N- Monitors and performs bed sheet changes with a modicum of regularity.
S- Determines when the science experiments growing in the refrigerator need to be tossed.
E- Ascertains when the kitchen garbage needs to be emptied.
E- Allows pet ownership and suffers the consequences of a menagerie gone awry.
E- Trains dust bunnies.

SOCIAL STUDIES:
E - ( People counts) Maintains mental acumen by reading legit periodicals.
E- Makes careful decisions when it comes to politics, religion, social conversations with friends, family and neighbors.
E- (reluctantly) Volunteers time.
E - Monitors Childrens' homework, projects, dress-down days, brown bags for field trips, food drives, magazine fundraisers.
E - (Begrudgingly) Takes children to childrens' parties.

GYM/ HEALTH:
E -Painstakingly prepares every meal.
N -Does not hide the "good" chocolate for herself.
E- Takes care of Doctors and Dentist appointments.
E -Cares for sick children and spouse (does not expect anyone to take care of her, if ever God forbid, she falls ill herself)
E - Follows up on all anti-biotic treatments that need to be finished.
E - Grooms the entire family.
N- Exercises Regularly (eats healthily, minimal vices)
(the “its 5:00pm somewhere glass of wine” does not count)
S -Takes care of personal appearance.
S- Keeps brain sharp with a variety of mental activities ie: sudoku, crossword puzzles,tetris etc.
E- Is the voice of reason when it comes to safety concerns.

MUSIC, ART and CULTURE:
N- Is able to sample and enjoy different types of music
(not just what she listened to in her 20’s)
N- Allows someone else to control the radio dial in the car.
N- Can listen to RadioDisney for hours on end.
N- Does museums trips regularly.
E- Takes children on trips.
N- Takes children to plays, concerts or festivals.
E- Enjoys a variety of art activities with her children.

LIFE SKILLS AND WORK HABITS:
S- Makes holidays special for the entire family.
S -Demonstrates organizational skills and makes good use of time.
E- Completes and returns bills, car registrations, greeting cards, rsvp’s etc. on time.
S- Manages the family schedule with ease.
N-Shuttles the family around.
S- (I smile on the outside but I am screaming on the inside)Works cooperatively with a positive attitude.
E- Interacts with others outside of the home.
S- Participates and contributes to discussions.
E- Makes appropriate choices.
E- Shows self-control.
S- Participates in (and often solely contributes to) abode hygiene.

REMARKS:
Chesca is a wonderful mother to her family.
She is conscientious and hard working.
She focuses on each task unto completion.
Her dedication and work ethic can be seen in her daily interactions with her family.
She is patient and kind to all.
She is well liked by her family and by those who have had the chance to work closely with her. She tackles complex problems and situations with aplomb.
Chesca does not demand the recognition she deserves.
Chesca still in the process of working on those periodic moments of irrational and emotional irritability but we are certain that this will decrease in time.
Chesca ‘s desire to be the best mother she can truly be is evident in the kind of children
she is raising.
It is a pleasure to have Chesca be a mother.
We look forward to the kind of citizens she is molding and shaping for the future of our world.

Sounds like Chesca is a great mom!!! I'll do this one of these days soon Chesca. I am so busy at work right now..it may be a couple of weeks before I can do it. I am going on a business trip next week and will be gone for a couple of weeks...
